Renewing your permit
The current staff parking permit year ends on 31 August 2025, and you will soon be able to renew your permit.
Please remember that a one-off £30 charge for Pay As You Go (PAYG) Permits comes into effect for the new parking year. This will be payable via a debit or credit card through the portal.
More instructions about how to renew your permit and pay the PAYG permit charge will be provided in the coming weeks.
Away in August? No problem.
There is no limit on the number of staff permits available, and no deadline for renewing your permit, so don’t worry if you’re away over the summer – you'll just need to make sure that you have renewed your permit before parking on campus so that you can continue to access staff parking prices.
Average car park availability during peak times: Monday to Friday, September to November and February to April.
Parking on Campus
Staff can benefit from reduced-rate parking between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Sunday. Parking is free outside these hours and on University-wide Open Days.
To access staff rates, you’ll need one of the following:
Please note: A permit gives you access to staff rates but does not guarantee a space in your preferred car park. See the campus map for the location of car parks on campus.
Blue Badge holders can park for free on campus. Just make sure to register your vehicle with the Transport Office in advance.
Parking charges are reviewed annually. Following the price change in March 2025, there will be no changes to parking fees for the 2025/26 permit year.
