The University has added a new page to its website to make it easier for staff to find out the latest situation regarding the USS pension scheme.
The page on the Human Resources section of the site contains up-to-date information and documents relating to the valuation of the scheme that is taking place this year.
When it concluded the 2018 valuation, the USS Trustee committed to carry out a valuation in 2020 to supersede the higher contributions that are scheduled for October 2021.
The 2020 valuation is currently in the consultation phase. The USS Trustee has given universities and other USS employers until 5pm on 30 October 2020 to provide formal responses to its consultation documents.
By law, the 2020 valuation must be filed with The Pensions Regulator by 30 June 2021.
