From 1 May to 31 July, £250,000 will be made available from the University’s annual HEIF (Higher Education Innovation Fund) allocation to work in collaboration with our non-academic stakeholders to support health, social and economic recovery from the pandemic and its wider impacts.
The deadline for submission of applications is Friday 9 April. Project funding for up to £25,000 per project must be spent by 31 July.

Sue Baxter, Director of Innovation and Business Partnerships, said: “As part of its response to Covid-19, the University ran a very successful programme last year which saw 20 projects funded to the tune of £340,000 from the 2019/20 HEIF budget.
“These improved health outcomes; mitigated the effects of the lockdown on families and schooling and advised our partners on the impact on the economy. Income generation wasn’t a key factor in the programme, but the projects still generated £270,000 from external sources and the sum is still growing.
“Please help us support our external partners in their vital work amid this pandemic, and submit your application by the 9 April deadline.”
