Dr Graeme Pedlingham, the University’s Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the Student Experience, has been appointed as a new independent member of the Office for Students (OfS) Quality Assessment Committee.
The Quality Assessment Committee provides advice to the OfS board on the approach to be taken by the OfS to assessing the quality of the higher education of registered providers and those providers seeking registration, as well as the grant of degree awarding powers.
Dr Pedlingham, who is also a Senior Lecturer in the School of English and Head of Central Foundation Years at Sussex, said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to the OFS Quality Assessment Committee - this is a time of such change for the Higher Education sector, including the next steps following the recent consultation on Quality and Standards regulation. I'm very much looking forward to supporting, and helping inform, the work of the OFS through this Committee.”
