Menopause
Sussex University is hosting a series of events for its Menopause Festival to mark World Menopause Day on 18 October. The Festival is designed to raise awareness, offer support and signposting for people who are experiencing symptoms and just get everyone talking about the menopause so that we can help to help break the stigma that surrounds it. We want to ensure that staff are able to thrive through their menopause.
Peter Mitchell, the Interim HR Director says that “Sussex University is steadfast in its commitment to ensuring that anyone experiencing menopausal symptoms is fully supported in the workplace. I want to reassure everyone that all University staff should feel able to thrive through the Menopause and my door is always open should anyone wish to talk to me. We also have a team of Menopause Champions who have lived experience of the menopause can offer a supportive, friendly ear, if you would like to talk to them. I would also encourage you all to attend as many of events arranged as part of the Menopause Festival as you can”.
