University’s new external print service - available now

Due to the closure of the Print Unit on Monday 30 June, the University has procured a new external print service that can be used by anyone with a Sussex email address. ‘Print Marketplace’ is an online portal that enables users to order almost any type of printing, from posters and leaflets, through to Sussex-branded stationery and merchandise.

How does Print Marketplace work?
Print Marketplace is a UK-wide digital platform developed by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) to enable public-sector organisations to purchase print from pre-approved suppliers at competitive prices.
The Print Marketplace portal is designed to be simple and intuitive to use. Through the portal you can:
- Request instant quotes for a wide variety of commonly printed items
- See recommended product specifications and make changes to suit your needs
- Upload PDF artwork, ready for auto-checking by the system
- Get an assisted quote with help from print specialists in the Print Marketplace customer support team. The team are available to help with any order, including urgent requests, or questions you might have, including how to order accessible forms of print (e.g. braille).
How do I set up my account?
You can set up your buyer account through the CCS portal using your Sussex email address (e.g. a.person@sussex.ac.uk) and searching for ‘University of Sussex’ in the ‘Organisation Name’ field.
Is training available?
Yes, Print Marketplace are running two introductory webinars for Sussex staff and students. Please select one of the links below to register your interest.
Print Marketplace also have step-by-step instructions and video guides available on their website, as well as a Live Chat function which we have tested and found to be an excellent service that answers many of the questions we anticipate users might have.
