We are delighted to announce the publication of Sussex Digital Humanities Lab 2025 public report. The report celebrates 10 years of work at the intersection of computational technology, culture, society and the environment.
The Centre was founded as the Sussex Humanities Lab (SHL) in 2014 with significant investment from the University. SHL gained Centre of Excellence status in 2023 and added 'Digital' to its name to emphasise the shared interest in the impacts and opportunities associated with digital transformations in culture and society.
This report has been made possible thanks to the relentless support of our constituent Faculties and Schools: Faculty of Media, Arts, and Humanities (our home Faculty), School of Engineering and Informatics, School of Education and Social Work, School of Law, Politics and Sociology, and the Library, Culture and Heritage division. And of course, our vibrant, inspiring, and diverse SHL Digital community. We thank each and every one of you.
Here is to the next 10 years.
