This Earth Day, we’re taking a moment to reflect on how small, everyday actions can contribute to a more sustainable future for everyone.
A shared commitment to sustainability
At the University of Sussex, sustainability is a shared commitment that runs through our teaching, research, operations, and community. It also extends to the choices we make as individuals, and one simple way to support environmental action is through Payroll Giving.
What is Payroll Giving?
Payroll Giving is an easy, tax-efficient way to make regular donations directly from your salary to charities working to protect the environment and address the climate crisis. Because donations are taken before tax, it’s a straightforward way to give more efficiently, while supporting causes that matter to you.
Supporting long-term environmental change
Across the world, environmental charities are working to tackle urgent challenges, from safeguarding biodiversity and restoring natural habitats, to advancing climate justice and supporting communities most affected by environmental change. Regular giving helps provide the stability these organisations need to plan ahead and deliver long-term impact.
Even small contributions, given consistently over time, can add up to meaningful change.
