Extension to Student Information System (SIS) delivery timeline confirmed

Last updated: Friday, 26 July 2024
Earlier this month, Council approved a proposal to extend the delivery timeline for the Student Information System project. This followed endorsement by the Finance and Resource Committee (FRC) in June and the programme’s steering group and Capital Strategic Investment Board (CSIB) in April.
Jo Corbett, Project SRO, says: “The project team has made considerable progress so far and we welcome this development as an opportunity to ensure we deliver a high-quality solution in a complex digital landscape, maximising return on the University’s investment. The project workstreams continue to work hard with our supplier to configure the new system.”
The SIS project team are developing a new timeline with two main releases, which are focused on:
- Admissions in CRM Recruit to go live in Autumn 2024 for applicants to courses starting from September 2025
- Student Administration in Banner to go live from Registration in August 2025.
The team are completing further analysis to determine the detail of what it will be possible to deliver in each of the main releases, and sub-releases, and will provide further updates following confirmation of the detailed timeline.
