Target audience: All staff (Professional Services and Academic) who are new to minute taking or would like to improve their skills.
This course will examine the preparations needed before the meeting, clarify the purpose of minutes, explore the role during meetings and planning after meetings. It will look at ways to save time when note-taking and how to reduce the stress which people experience when taking minutes.
The workshop aims to help you:
- To understand the role of the minute taker
- To gain an awareness of the different forms of minuting possible
- To select the appropriate minute taking form for the context
- To increase confidence in minute taking
