Creating Voice 2025 are hosting this year’s Crafternoon event on Wednesday 21 May, in the Student Centre Atrium.
The goal of Creating Voice is to find new impactful ways to make your voice heard, by not just staff and students, but the wider community as well.
With a whole afternoon filled with crafty activities to get stuck into, there is something for everyone. Whether you want to relax and create something mindful, to take something home to do in your own down time.
With everything that is created, this is your chance to be part of our very exciting Exhibition held in July 21- 25 at the i360. For more information, please check out the Student Engagement and Enhancement Instagram Account or email see@sussex.ac.uk.
Crafternoon Activities include:
-
'shaping your ancestry' with interactive hand- painting
-
'mapping your journey' which focuses on those 'glimmering' moments while on your journey home
-
clay making and reimagining what 'journey' means to you
-
'putting your foot in it' encourages you think about walking in the footsteps of yourself and others through a choice of shoe making or footprint designing
-
exploring 'journey of identity' with queer photo portraiture
-
learn to 'paint your journey' using a canvas and easel.
And last but not least, we've also got 'take home kits' that we're putting together so students can be creative and still add to the exhibition remotely.
