New Year, New Skills: Explore Project Management Apprenticeships with QA.
As many of us reflect on our professional development goals for the year ahead, January is a great time to explore opportunities that build confidence, capability and long-term career impact.
To support staff development at the University of Sussex, QA — one of our staff apprenticeship training providers — will be hosting an online briefing session on Project Management apprenticeships. This session is open to staff who are curious about developing project leadership skills or gaining a recognised qualification alongside their role.
Why attend?
Project management skills are increasingly valuable across professional, academic and operational roles. QA’s apprenticeship programmes are designed to help staff:
- Build practical, workplace-relevant project management skills
- Apply learning directly to real projects at Sussex
- Work towards recognised professional and academic qualifications
- Develop confidence in planning, delivery, stakeholder management and change
- Gain certification in PRINCE2 Foundation or APM PMQ or a degree
The session will provide an overview of QA’s Project Management Apprenticeships and related pathways, including programme structures, typical commitment, and the support available to apprentices and their managers.
Who is this for?
This briefing is suitable for staff at different career stages, including those who:
- Manage or contribute to projects as part of their role
- Are looking to strengthen leadership or delivery skills
- Are considering an apprenticeship as part of their 2026 development goals
- Want to understand how apprenticeships fit alongside a full-time role
No prior project management qualification is required — the session is exploratory and informative.
Start 2026 with purpose
Apprenticeships offer a powerful way to invest in your development while continuing to make an impact in your role at Sussex. This briefing is a chance to hear directly from QA, ask questions, and explore whether a project management apprenticeship could be right for you.
