Stories of Success is a new series of interviews run by Research Development, where each month we interview an academic who has been successful with a particular funder.
In our first Story of Success interview we will be hearing from David Schwartzman a Research Fellow from Engineering and Informatics. David will be talking about his MRC award, how he learned from previous unsuccessful application, how he applied to a funder outside his own academic area and all the lessons he has learned along the way.
Whether it is a funder you would be applying to or not, the principles of success are often the same and we will hear how these academics built on past failures, what made their application successful and more!
Our interviews are about the application process and the lessons the PI can pass onto us (rather than a specific scheme or funder) so even if this is not your particular academic area, this will be an interesting and informative session.
Meeting link has been circulated to faculty, email resdevadmin@sussex.ac.uk if you would like to attend but have not received a zoom link.
