This DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations) Risk Assessor course provides you with the skills and knowledge to be able to carry out a DSEAR risk assessment. Following a training scenario, you will be taken through the University’s DSEAR risk assessment process, applying what you learn as you progress through the session through the review of substance safety data sheets.
This course is suitable for those who are new to DSEAR risk assessment, or would like to be reminded of the University’s DSEAR risk assessment process.
If you require a refresher, you should book on to COSHH and DSEAR Refresher training instead.
Objectives
• Identify hazards presented by dangerous substances.
• Interpret a substance's Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
• Describe the steps of the University's DSEAR risk assessment.
• Develop a DSEAR risk assessment.
