Because of rail strikes this week, the University has made adjustments to the exam schedule to give Sussex students more time to get to campus for their exams. The start times of all exams to be held from Monday 9 January to Saturday 14 January will now be one hour later than originally timetabled.
If you have any exams scheduled for the week beginning Monday 9 January, please log in to Sussex Direct to see your amended exam timetable. It is important that you check this, as a small number of assessments have not moved.
You may also need to consider how you are going to get to campus for your scheduled exams.
Southern Rail are advising passengers that no trains will be running on the strike days of Tuesday 10, Wednesday 11 and Friday 13 January. An ongoing overtime ban means that there may also be disruption on other days that week.
Brighton & Hove Buses provide services to campus on routes 23, 25, 25X and 50U. Routes 28 and 29 stop on the A27 as they run between Brighton and Lewes. Next week, when there is a train strike, Brighton & Hove Buses will supplement these normal services by running two extra bendy buses between the city centre and the Sussex campus.

When you’re on campus during the January assessment period, you may wish to make use of the temporary additional study space in Ashdown House, from 5 to 20 January. And don’t forget that there is lots of advice about revision and exam techniques at our online Skills Hub.
