The University’s Organisations Development team is delighted to be able to offer a new Level 5 apprenticeship for staff involved in coaching as part of their role. This new apprenticeship reflects the University’s commitment to developing its staff and building coaching capability across the institution.
Two briefing sessions about the apprenticeship are taking place on Tuesday 13 July (11.00am - 12.00 noon) and Wednesday 28 July (10.00am - 11.00am). To express an interest and to book onto a briefing session, please contact od@sussex.ac.uk.
Coaching is a key management and leadership skill. The apprenticeship is particularly suited to staff new to management, or existing managers interested in developing their coaching approach. It is also open to those who are engaged in coaching as part of the remit of their role.
The upcoming programme will bring together higher education (HE) staff from across England’s university and HE population, allowing staff to share best practice techniques and insights from across the sector.
The apprenticeship runs for 15 months. Upon completion, you will receive a Level 5 Apprenticeship and can apply for accreditation or membership from one of the three main professional coaching bodies.
Should you be interested, please review the information about apprenticeships, eligibility and the process of applying on the Organisational Development pages and discuss with your manager. All applications will require approval from your line manager in consideration with business requirements. Please be aware that places are limited.
