We’d like to remind you that the next Annual Leave Purchase Scheme (ALPS) window for applications will open from Friday 1 July 2022 until Wednesday 31 August 2022. Any additional leave purchased during this period can be used from the new leave year, which starts on Saturday 1 October 2022.
The ALPS scheme was first launched as a new staff benefit in June 2021, and it offers two opportunities a year where you can apply for additional leave. You can apply for up to 10 days’ additional annual leave pro rata, per leave year and the funds needed to buy the additional leave recovered in equal instalments directly from your monthly pay. Salary sacrifice payments will commence for this upcoming ALPS window from your October 2022 pay onwards.
We strongly encourage you to talk to your line manager about accessing the scheme, as your manager will need to authorise your request, prior to the application being submitted to reward@sussex.ac.uk.
