Last updated: Tuesday, 19 December 2023
Work to replace RAAC roof panels above Bramber House stairwells is continuing. Having completed repairs above the two main stairwells, work is set to begin on the two stairwells that border Refectory Road.
From Wednesday 3 January, the following changes will take place in and around Bramber House:
- Floor 4 in Bramber House will close: all office teams based on Floor 4 are being temporarily relocated or will be working remotely until March 2024. The office closure includes the closure of the kitchen and meeting rooms on level 4. All other floors are unaffected.
- There will be reduced capacity for conference bookings: All existing bookings will be maintained but there may be reduced capacity for new bookings.
- Refectory Road Entrance to Bramber House: This entrance will be closed between 8am and 5pm from 3 January for approximately 2 weeks. Please access Bramber House via the Arts Path entrance, or via the Eat Central entrance – please note these doors are not automatic.
- Pavement closure: The Refectory Road pavement that borders Bramber House will be closed between January and March 2024 – please divert to the opposite pavement using the pedestrian crossing by Fulton building.
The works will start with the installation of scaffolding from 3 January 2024 and are expected to last until March 2024.
