Survey of taught postgraduate students opens on 15 April

From Monday 15 April, eligible postgraduate students will be invited to take part in the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES). The survey will run until Thursday 13 June.
This survey asks postgraduate students taking a taught course (for example, an MA, MSc, MBA, LLM or PGCE) about their learning and teaching experience.
The survey is an important chance for us to gather feedback about our postgraduates’ experiences. This is the only national survey of taught postgraduates, so it helps build an understanding of experiences across the country too.
How you can help
Please encourage your postgraduate students to complete the survey – it should only take around 10 minutes – including giving some time in classes where possible. Eligible participants will receive an email invitation from Jisc Online Surveys with a link to complete the survey, as well as reminders during the survey period.
As a thank you, eligible postgraduates who take part by 13 June will be entered into a prize draw, with five graduation packages worth £150 on offer. Each £150 prize will cover the cost of gown hire, two guest tickets and a basic photography package. View the prize draw terms and conditions.
For each complete survey response, the University will also donate £1 to charities chosen by postgraduates in a poll sent out ahead of the survey.
Resources and further information
Staff can view a Box folder of shared resources (accessible with your usual Sussex login details) to support survey promotion in your area. This includes a PowerPoint slide that can be used with students. Thanks in advance for your support.
You can find more information about PTES on the Student Hub or Academic Quality and Partnerships pages.
Please note: the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES), which is aimed at postgraduate researchers, is not running at Sussex in 2023/24.
