Sussex facilities management team
The Estates facilities management team at Sussex consists of four Facilities Managers and three Facilities Coordinators, divided across four campus zones in alignment with the new University faculty structure.
The team provide information and updates around all Estates services, including maintenance, cleaning and logistics. Once you have reported a request to the Service Centre, your Facilities Manager and Coordinator are available to track updates for you, and keep you posted on any changes or new information.
The team are out and about throughout the day, undertaking extensive inspections and checks of all areas to catch issues before they happen, as well as meeting with key facilities contacts in every building to discuss ongoing maintenance works and requests.
How to report a facilities request
If you have a maintenance issue, or need other ad-hoc estates services such as cleaning or portering, contact the Service Centre at ServiceCentre@sef.fm with a description of your request, including its exact location (building, floor, room number, etc.) and as much detail as you can provide, so we can respond and get it sorted quickly. If your request is urgent, you can also dial 7777 (external: 01273 877777).
Your request will then be logged, categorised, and assigned to the appropriate Estates operative. See more information on our target response times.
