April is Stress Awareness Month, a time for us to come together to acknowledge, reflect, and take action on the impact stress can have on our wellbeing. At Sussex, we understand how stress can affect both our personal and professional lives, and we’re here to help you find ways to manage it — with the support and resources available across our community.
Throughout this month, we’ll be sharing resources and tips to help you identify the signs of stress, understand its effects, and learn practical techniques to manage it. Keep checking Viva Engage for regular updates.
Whether you’re feeling the pressure of deadlines, balancing work and life, or simply navigating the challenges of everyday life, there are tools and support available to help you thrive. We encourage you to take a look at our Stress and Resilience page on the Staff Wellbeing Hub, where you can find a range of support and resources, including strategies for managing stress.
Why not join our ‘Exploring Staff Wellbeing Support at Sussex’ webinar on 28 April from 10 am to 11 am. It’s an opportunity to pause, connect, and discover the wealth of support available to help you thrive at work
Check out Organisational Development’s recommended LinkedIn Learning courses on a range of topics, including mindful stress management, and tools to help you manage stress.
The Stress Management Society also has some helpful information and resources as part of Stress Awareness month.
Remember, it’s okay to ask for help — stress is a common experience, but with the right tools and support, we can better manage it together.
