Learning at Work Week is a national celebration of lifelong learning in the workplace, offering the opportunity to reflect on how ongoing development helps us achieve our personal, team, and organisational goals.
With this year's theme being Get Connected, there is no better time to invest in your professional growth by undertaking one of East Sussex College Group’s free online courses. This month, we are shining the spotlight on Principles of Team Leading, a course designed to help you build strong leadership skills so you can cultivate and support more effective, motivated teams.
Why enrol
- Develop your leadership skills: Whether you are managing a team or aspiring to lead in the future, the course offers a valuable opportunity to explore best practices in team management and leadership.
- Learn at your own pace: Designed to fit around your busy schedule, the course is fully online and self-paced, typically taking around 8–12 weeks to complete.
- Earn a recognised qualification: Upon successful completion of the course, you will gain a Level 2 Certificate from NCFE CACHE, a nationally recognised awarding body.
- It’s completely free: This course is fully funded, meaning there’s no cost to you.

How to get started
Getting started is quick and straightforward:
- Visit the East Sussex College Group website and select Principles of Team Leading.
- Complete a short eligibility questionnaire which includes a simple maths and English assessment and uploading identification details (e.g. passport or driving licence).
- Be sure to register using your @sussex.ac.uk email address.
