The Green Healthcare Hub, led by Prof Mood Bhutta, Chair in ENT Surgery and Professor of Sustainable Healthcare at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS), has launched a ‘Handy’ animated guide to promote hand hygiene and discouraging use of gloves in healthcare.
This initiative is committed to transforming healthcare delivery by eliminating unnecessary waste, appointments and tests. This engaging resource highlights how small changes in clinical practice can significantly lower carbon emissions across the NHS.
The Hub aims to support the NHS in becoming a global leader in low-carbon, sustainable healthcare, by drawing on evidence-based tools, professional networks and lessons from past quality and safety initiatives.
