As part of the first strategic plan of Sussex 2035, the Recovery and Rebuilding Strategic Plan, a Service Efficiency and Effectiveness initiative is being launched across Professional Services. The initiative will have a dedicated team to lead the change across PS areas.
This agile team will support PS Divisions and Faculty PS to redesign processes, streamline how we work, enhance service delivery and build a culture of continuous improvement. We will shortly be advertising for internal applicants to join this new team on a secondment basis.
A community of practice for those with an interest in service efficiency and effectiveness, or those whose role already includes this work, will also be meeting from the autumn term to share best practice, discuss challenges and undertake some real-life problem-solving activities.
If you have an interest in process improvement and/or service design, please discuss with your line manager as part of your ADR conversation in the first instance. Joining the new team or the community of practice will be a great opportunity to work across PS, develop new skills and work on an important initiative to support the future of the University.
