A new public Park and Ride is launching from University of Sussex this summer on selected weekend dates, taking passengers into the heart of the city quickly, conveniently and easily.
In partnership with Brighton & Hove City Council, the Park & Ride scheme will be hosted on campus, and aims to offer a quick, affordable way to travel to the city over its busiest month.
Park & Ride
Using campus car parks, dedicated Park & Ride buses will take visitors into the city centre and back again for £7 per vehicle, including all its passengers.
Payment will be via the PaybyPhone app, phone number or website using a dedicated Park & Ride code.
The Park & Ride will run every 15 minutes from 9am to 9pm (last bus from city centre 8.30pm) on the following dates:
- Sunday 3 August
- Sunday 10 August
- Sunday 17 August
- Bank Holiday weekend of 23, 24 and 25 August
- Saturday 30 August
Campus car parks
The following car parks will host Brighton & Hove’s Park & Ride:
- Science Car Park (P1) – main Park & Ride car park
- Jubilee Car Park (P7) – Park & Ride overflow if needed
- Ridge Car Park (P6) – Park & Ride overflow if needed
The £7 Park & Ride fare only applies to people parking on campus to use Park & Ride. Walk up fares are not available. Regular bus services to the campus are unaffected so you can get these as normal.
On campus on those dates but not using Park & Ride? Existing staff and student parking rates are not affected, but Science Car Park (P1) is not available for staff and student use on Park & Ride dates. Please use other campus car parks including Jubilee and Ridge.
