New Version of Poll Everywhere
The university has several tools at its disposal to help engage students to share their opinions and knowledge. Whether it isabout topics of discussion or the content being learnt. The opportunity to record this data eitherin real-time or asynchronouslyisanimportant elementof the teaching learning experience.
Poll Everywhere is launching its latest upgrade (2.0) which has been billed as a complete rebuild, from the ground up,to help support its use in all modern and future digital environments while addressing some of the issues of Poll Everywhere 1.0.
Upgrade Highlights
- New user-interface to support navigation and clarity
- New PowerPoint integration. The new add-on for PowerPoint means you can create and edit Polls within your slides. No need to keep jumping back and forth.
- Ai enhancedpoll creation. Create a poll on the fly asking PE 2.0 to create polls or questions from your prompts. This could be in the middle of a presentation
- Participants can respond without needing to create an account, allowing for anonymous participation and seamless engagement
- Enhanced accessibility: WCAG 2.2 AA compliance supports a more inclusive experience
Using PE 1.0 and 2.0
As we move forward with the migration process, we are looking for early adopters to try out Poll Everwhere 2.0. Using this early incarnation of PE 2.0 means you will have access to both systems PE 1.0 and 2.0.
(When you log in you will be given the option to select the version you want to use. This means you are not losing any of your previous polls or quizzes)
What we need from anyone interested in using PE 2.0 is to trial it in your teaching and learning. We would like reporting on successes and failures either in the creation of polls, installation of the add on into apps like PowerPoint and presenting and recording (with Panopto). Having this kind of information will be invaluable to all of us when it comes to migration.
Expression of Interest
We are looking for expressions of interest to use the newest version of Poll Everywhere. Please email EE@sussex.ac.uk before Friday 5 December, so we can get you set up ASAP.
