Associate Professor in Theatre and Performance, Lisa Peck, has been awarded Senior Fellowship of Advance HE. Awarded in recognition of advanced pedagogic practice, the Senior Fellowship celebrates work in Higher Education that influences the practice of others.
For almost two decades Lisa has taught students in Drama and in Education at Sussex. Over this time she has published widely on feminist theatre pedagogies and genealogies including her Act as a Feminist: Towards a Critical Acting Pedagogy (Routledge 2021) and (co-edited with Evi Stamatiou) Critical Acting Pedagogies: Intersectional Approaches (Routledge, September 2024). Lisa develops networks, collaborations and conversations around progressive pedagogies, including with Digital Theatre Plus and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Her latest research continues this work, exploring pedagogy and passion in theatre.
