Sports Centre access change for gym users

We’re making some changes to the way gym users access the Sports Centre.
What's changing?
From Monday 12 January, gym users will need to scan a QR code on the Sussexsport app when entering the Sports Centre and the gym rooms.
Using QR code entry will enhance security and mean gym users no longer need to wait at reception to scan their student or staff ID card, speeding up entry for all Sports Centre users.
Set up your QR code
If you haven’t already, you can set up the Sussexsport app and the QR code function using these instructions. A word of warning though - it’s a bit of a brain workout! Don't worry if you can't set up the QR code on your own, our team will be on hand to help when you arrive.
If you don’t have a smartphone – or choose not to bring it with you – that’s fine too. We can provide you with a temporary access card if you leave a form of ID behind the reception desk.
Please note that this access change only applies to gym users. If you’re arriving for a class or activity, please sign in at the reception desk as usual.
The accessible entrance to the Sports Centre won’t be affected by these changes and will not require a QR code to use.
