We are thrilled to announce that the KEI Fellowships have received an overwhelming response, with 42 applications from across all four Faculties and nine Schools!
This year, we are proud to award 26 fellowships in four strategic categories:
- Policy
- Public & Community Engagement
- Participatory Research
- Innovation
Despite the high demand and limited funding, we exceeded our initial target of 22 awards, successfully granting 26 fellowships to recipients from all Faculties and eight Schools. This achievement highlights the incredible enthusiasm and dedication for KE work within our academic and Professional Services staff community!
The KEI Fellowship scheme is funded by allocations from Research England’s:
- Policy Support Fund
- Participatory Research Fund
- Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF)
Since its inception in October 2023, the KE and Impact Fellowship scheme has awarded 57 projects and received over 134 applications in just under two years.
This fellowship continues to provide valuable insights into the diversity of KE work and the necessity of small-scale funding to unlock potential for research impact work aligning with Sussex 2035 strategic themes.
