We’re making an important update to keep your Wi-Fi connection secure. On Monday 1 September 2025, the security certificate for eduroam will be renewed. This update helps protect your data and ensures you can continue to connect safely to the University’s wireless network.
What do I need to do?
From Monday 1 September all students and staff will need to 'forget' the eduroam network and reconnect to get the new certificate, which can be done on and off campus.
Note: before you do this, you may see a message on your phone or laptop saying you’ve been disconnected from eduroam. Don’t worry - this is expected.
How can I do this?
- Step 1: Forget the existing eduroam network. Follow these quick instructions to remove the old connection.
- Step 2: Reconnect to the eduroam network. Once that’s done, follow this guidance to reconnect to eduroam.
