An exciting new University brand awareness campaign is being launched this month. Over the next few weeks, the ‘Right here. Right now.’ campaign will be rolling out on our own channels (including the website and social media) as well as appearing as adverts in a range of locations across Sussex and the South East - including train stations, key tube stations in London and street advertising spots - helping more people discover what makes Sussex a brilliant place to be.
Inspired by the ambitions of the Sussex 2035 strategy, this campaign will help strengthen awareness of who we are, what we offer, and the difference we make. It highlights what Sussex is all about: working collaboratively to shape meaningful change. For example, you may spot campaign images showcasing how we’re helping to protect insect populations, revealing the histories of the universe, or driving world-leading quantum technologies, to name a few.
Helen Merrills, Director of Marketing, Brand and Content, says:
“This new campaign is a really exciting development to Sussex's approach to marketing. An inspiring and visually impactful manifestation of Sussex 2035, it will challenge perceptions of Sussex as 'ordinary' and support the recovery and rebuilding pillars of recruitment and reputation building.
“A brand awareness campaign is really about getting our name out there in front of people - helping them understand who we are and why we matter. What makes this one different is that we’re not asking people to book or sign up to anything or take any kind of action. Instead, we’re simply highlighting what makes Sussex distinctive and letting our achievements do the talking.”
It is the first Sussex campaign of its kind run in recent years, and forms part of our wider work to support student recruitment.
Look out for the campaign over the coming weeks. Want to get a glimpse of it now? Take a look at our digital photo gallery.
