Inside the new Health and Wellbeing Centre

Last updated: Monday, 1 June 2026

Our new Health and Wellbeing Centre will open on Monday 15 June, bringing together University wellbeing services and the campus NHS GP practice under one roof.
This co-location supports closer collaboration and provides improved, purpose-built facilities in a calm and welcoming environment for students and local residents.
What’s inside?
On arrival, visitors are welcomed at a shared reception area on the ground floor. Office space on the ground floor brings together University and NHS mental health teams, alongside a comfortable waiting area. This area will also host a wellbeing stall showcasing support services and student activities.
NHS GP services are located on the first floor, which includes a reception, a waiting area, and consultation rooms.
The second floor is dedicated to University therapeutic services, offering private spaces for counselling and treatment, as well as rooms for group therapy, clinics and workshops. The Student Centre remains the first point of contact for student wellbeing, helping to ensure joined-up access to the right support at the right time.
