A huge thank you to over 100 staff from across the University who supported this year's Clearing operation towards the end of last week.
Clearing is one of the most intense times in the University calendar, and this year was no exception, with phones ringing from 8am, the live chat queue busy with questions, and colleagues from teams across campus pulling together to help. For a lot of prospective students, the person they spoke to on results day is the reason they chose Sussex over somewhere else. Clearing plays a vital role in student recruitment, connecting prospective students with Sussex at a key decision-making moment and helping us welcome talented students from a wide range of backgrounds.
Thanks to the work of colleagues across our professional services and academic teams, we were able to respond to many enquiries across phone, social media, live chat, email and other channels. Every conversation helped prospective students get the information and reassurance they needed to make one of the most important decisions of their lives.
Whether you answered calls, supported digital channels, provided specialist advice, or worked behind the scenes to keep operations running smoothly, your contribution made a real difference.
