Upcoming IT Services Support During Welcome Week
21 September to 4 October 2026
To support Welcome Week, student onboarding, and the start of teaching, IT Services will be prioritising activities that help new students get connected and access the services they need during this busy period.
As a result, we ask staff to contact IT Services using the channels below rather than visiting the IT Service Desk in Shawcross. During this period, the Service Desk is expected to experience significantly higher volumes of student enquiries, which may result in longer waiting times. If an issue requires an in-person appointment, we will arrange this with you directly.
This focused approach will help ensure that students can successfully access essential systems and digital resources, providing a positive start to their experience at Sussex.
Staff device collections and enrolments will be by pre-booked appointment only, to help the Service Desk manage resources effectively and ensure the best experience for staff.
