On Saturday 26 September the Beyond Boundaries festival is taking place in Stanmer Park, right next to campus.
The event is expected to host thousands of visitors, which means that roads and public transport will be very busy all day on Saturday. Whether you’re attending the festival, travelling to campus, or simply passing through the area, please plan ahead and allow some extra time for your journey.
Getting to and from campus
Falmer Station is expected to remain open, but the station and train services will be particularly busy, especially when the festival finishes in the evening at 10.30pm.
Stoney Mere Way and University Way will be closed from 6am on Saturday 26 September until 1am on Sunday 27 September. If you need to drive onto campus, please enter and exit via Knights Gate Road (the top entrance).
- The Falmer Station car park will be closed all day.
- Temporary traffic management measures will be in place around Stanmer Park; entering campus via car, taxi and bus may take longer than usual.
- The P5 Sussex Sport car park will remain open.
- The cycle lane on the footpath from University Way to the underpass, including the route through the underpass, will be temporarily suspended during this period.
The festival is taking place entirely off campus, and will have its own security and marshals.
