Service details

Sussex Projects acts as a central enterprise function for the selection, prioritisation and control of all projects and programmes, in line with the University’s strategic objectives and capacity to deliver.  The team establishes and implements project management best practices for the benefit of the University in a way that encourages collaboration, standardisation and overall improvement in project results across all delivery Portfolios.

  • Enterprise Portfolio Office

    The Portfolio Office facilitates the capital programme planning process and delivers the core services of Sussex Projects, defining, developing, and assuring the consistent application of best project portfolio and change management practices and provides a consolidated view of progress, risks, and issues across the portfolios.

  • Delivery Team

    The delivery arm of the Sussex Projects function is a pool of professionals who are deployed to provide day-to-day management of the delivery of the programmes and projects. The team flexes in size against the demands of the capital programme and is funded by programmes and projects.  These resources work closely with University Project Executives (UPEs), Senior Responsible Officers (SROs) and other project stakeholders to successfully deliver projects within the approved project management framework.
